We still haven't gotten over Kanye West's absurdly bad behavior at this year's MTV VMAs. No matter how many times he apologizes for jumping up on stage during Taylor Swift's acceptance speech and telling the crowd that Beyonce deserved the award, we're still bitter.
We've been over this a thousand times – even President Obama thought the rapper was a "jackass" for the way he handled the situation -- but Beyonce is finally expressing her thoughts on the whole debacle.
While the "Single Ladies" singer says she understood where Kanye was coming from, she was still mortified by his actions.
"Well, I knew his intentions, and I knew he was standing up for art; and he told me before, when they said the nominees, he's like, 'You have this award,'" Beyoncé told O: The Oprah Magazine editor Gayle King, at Billboard magazine's annual Women in Music event, where B was named Woman of the Year. "And when they didn't call my name he was, like, completely shocked. And when he walked on the stage, I was like, 'No, no, no!' and then he spoke, and I was like, 'Oh, no, no, no!' "But in the end, it ended up being a great night, and Taylor Swift did get her moment — and I didn't have to make an acceptance speech," she said, of the very classy moment when, after winning Video of the Year, she called Taylor back up on stage to speak.
