She's proven she's good at everything else, so why shouldn't Beyonce direct a movie? Inspired, perhaps, by Justin Bieber's Never Say Never and Katy Perry's Part of Me, the pop diva has announced plans to make a big-screen documentary about her life and career. But unlike her fellow music stars, Beyonce wants to be in front of the camera and behind it!
According to the Los Angeles Times, Beyonce's film will be a combination of concert footage and "confessional" interviews, giving fans an all-access look at her professional and personal life. So far, she reportedly has about 20 minutes of footage, which is being shopped around to Hollywood studios.
At 31 years old, Beyonce (who started out with Destiny's Child as a teenager) has been a superstar for many more years than Perry or Bieber. There's no doubt that her successful music career could fill a documentary -- but what we'd really love to see is a glimpse into the very private singer's family life. What's it like at home with husband Jay-Z and daughter Blue Ivy? How are things with Beyonce's father now that he's been fired as her manager? If the perfect-seeming star can show fans a more personal side, we bet they'd love her even more.
Besides this new documentary venture, Beyonce is booked to star in a remake of A Star is Born, directed by Clint Eastwood. Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Cruise have been named as her potential costars. Hey, as long as Beyonce is holding the camera, we wouldn't mind a behind-the-scenes look at that, too!
