Beyonce hasn't introduced her daughter Blue Ivy to the world yet -- but she has introduced her to Destiny's Child! At Saturday's BET Honors in Washington, D.C., Beyonce's former bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams gushed to the press about how well the singer is handling new motherhood.
"She was born to be a mother," Rowland, 30, told People. "She has such compassion for people and humanity, period."
Williams, 31, told USA Today that Jay-Z, 42, is a natural at parenthood, too.
"(Beyonce and Jay-Z) have already settled into their role as parents, and it's just awesome to see," said Williams.
Even so, the former bandmates admitted they're still "shocked" that the ambitious Beyonce, 30, is the first Destiny's Child member to have a baby.
"We were laughing with each other the other day and she was like, 'Can y'all believe it? I was the anti -- like no children for me,' and she's the first one (of us to have a baby)," recalled Williams. "So it was so amazing to see her."
As for the question on everyone's mind -- which of her parents does the Blue Ivy look like? -- Williams and Rowland wouldn't go into details.
"That's for her parents to disclose, not myself," said Rowland.
Williams, however, did disclose that Blue is "absolutely gorgeous" and already quite stylish. (As if we hadn't guessed!)
Blue Ivy Carter was born Jan. 7 in New York City. The newborn has already made music history by being the youngest person to land on the Billboard charts, after her cries appeared on the new Jay-Z single "Glory."
