Whoa! Not a happy episode last night. Right at the beginning, Barb has to find out from the newspaper that her mother is engaged to be married. Bill and Alby meet out in the country, and Bill offers to trade his seat on the board for Kathy. Alby claims he'll think about it, but it doesn't look likely. Meanwhile, Sarah reads a saucy text message to Scott from another girl on his cell phone. Scott maintains that they never said they were exclusive. He also shrugs off taking her virginity, saying it was only sex... nice. Real nice. Back at the house, Barb's neighbor Pam comes over to discuss surrogacy and casually mentions that Margie is a surrogate mother. Pam says she wants to have a baby so desperately that she'll pay Margie $50,000. Barb, already distraught over her mom, is really upset now. Nicki and Alby exchange heated words at Roman's bedside when Alby tries to order her to get Weber back by threatening that he has evidence that Bill stole the company. Nicki doesn’t seem to care. Barb demands an explanation from Margie about being a surrogate, but Margie responds defiantly, saying she's been a "baby factory" for Barb. And then the doorbell rings.
Barb answers the door and finds Ben standing on the porch with twin girls. He introduces them as his girlfriends. Hot! Fed up with her immediate family, Barb goes off to find her mom. She tells her mother that Ben wants to be a polygamist, and this revelation softens a bit of her mother's resolve against her daughter. The two agree that Barb's children will attend their grandmother's wedding and that Ben will accompany his grandma and her new hubby on their honeymoon. Nicki stumbles across a crying Sarah, who is unsurprisingly upset about Scott. In typical Nicki fashion, she attempts to offer comfort. However, her advice is actually pretty solid. She tells Sarah to protect her chastity, but to also make sure that Scott knows what he's missing. Joey tells Wanda and Kathy that Alby is coming and that they all have to flee. Lois comes over looking for Joey but finds Alby instead. He tells her he didn't hurt them, but his honesty is highly questionable. Barb brings the kids to the wedding along with a suitcase for Ben. Her mother and her sister try to get Barb to go home and leave the kids by themselves. But Barb won't be dismissed so easily. Ben sees the suitcase and realizes what's up. He calls Bill, who is on the way to dinner at Larry's with Margie. Bill immediately changes direction and heads to the wedding, where he leaves a ticked off Margie in the car. He confronts Barb about trying to send Ben away, and she counters by inquiring if he stole Weber. When he doesn't answer directly, Barb is further dismayed to realize that maybe Nicki was right. Bill feels guilty, and he tells Ben they are going to stay at the reception. Suddenly, Bill remembers Margie is still in the car. His attempts to soothe her do not go well; Margie feels like once again Bill has ditched her to attend to Barb. Running back to Barb inside, Bill makes up with Barb. Then Nicki arrives and a huge, nasty scene goes down as Bill, Margie, Nicki and Barb argue loudly. Nicki thinks Barb has abandoned the family again, and Margie accuses Barb of being jealous of their dinner with Larry. Then she accuses Bill of always putting Barb first, and Nicki demands to know if Bill is responsible for her father's shooting. Before the entire clan finally leaves, Barb and her mother do manage to have a tender moment together. Barb tells her mom how much she wants to be a part of her life, and the two women embrace. The episode ends on a sinister note, however, when Barb comes home to discover snakes in her bed!
