I think I finally understand polygamy. In this week’s episode, Bill acts on his feelings for Ana. Her accent, her charm, and her sweetness make Bill, as well as the audience, fall in love with her. Moreover, Marge also falls in love with Ana when she befriends her and divulges all of her family secrets. Only, she neglects to mention who she's married to! Because of Ana’s openness and nonjudgmental attitude, Marge is sure Ana would be a perfect fit for a fourth wife! But, Bill, on the other hand, is not convinced. He decides to dump Ana, because his love for her is not “celestial;" it is pure lust. I realized that for Bill and maybe other polgamists, too, polygamy isn't just an excuse to have a ton of wives; it is a belief that certain relationships and bonds are written in the stars to help lead you on the path to righteousness. Bill explains all of this to Marge in an effort to make her understand why he and Ana are not meant to be.
In other news, Rhonda is stirring up trouble at the Tuttles! Although I think we can all agree that she is a pretty horrible person, this family has graciously let her in and has even decided to adopt her! Rhonda’s story is leaked in the newspaper, so the Henrickson clan is aware of her return. After Nicky tries to steal her from her new home, Rhonda tells the Tuttles that Bill is an abusive husband and father. Mr. Tuttle repeats this to Sarah, and Sarah tells Barb. At the Tuttle home, Barb confronts Mr. Tuttle and gives it to him good! Rhonda then tells her to “piss off!” I couldn't believe it! Rhonda needs somebody to teach her a lesson. I can’t to find out what happens to Ben next week. We know he has been having sex with his girlfriend and feeling conflicted about it. It doesn't help that she isn't a member of the church either… what will his family think!?
