iVillage: What was your big turning point-either during the show or before that made you realize you needed to lose the weight?
My biggest turning point was when I realized I could die in my sleep and I could no longer buckle my seat belt and on the ranch when I learned I had diabetes.
iVillage: What is one thing you wish you had known before going on The Biggest Loser?
That no matter how hard it was going to be, I did have the strength inside to overcome, and I learned that on the ranch!
iVillage: Did you think it’s harder or easier to be on the show with a family member as a teammate as opposed to competing by yourself?
I loved having my mom as my partner! We really helped encourage each other and helped me believe in myself.
iVillage: If you could have done one thing differently during the show, what would it be?
I stand by everything I did on the show and I have no regrets.
iVillage: What's the hardest thing to adapt to while living on the ranch?
The hardest thing to adapt to for me was having to send your friends home every week! That part I hated!
iVillage: What is one thing that keeps you motivated when you don't feel like working out or you want to eat junk food?
Just knowing how great I feel now. I remind myself all the time where I came from and how unhappy I was being 374 pounds and that is what keeps me going. I love my life now! I never want to let it go!
iVillage: What is your favorite workout?
I take a combat class and I love it! I feel pretty tough doing it and it is a great workout.
iVillage: What's the best advice Bob or Jillian has given you?
Both Bob and Jill gave me wonderful advice, but the one that sticks out to me the most was week one when Jill and I had a face off on the treadmill and the treadmill won. She took me outside and said I have to believe that I can and when I start to do that, the rest will follow! I love her!
iVillage: What is your favorite meal or snack?
I love shredded lettuce with tuna and all the healthy veggies -- carrots, celery, onion, broccoli, beans, artichokes with Galos dressing. I really crave it!
iVillage: What's something viewers at home wouldn't know from watching the show?
We really do cook all of our own food! Everyone asks, "How was the food and chefs at the ranch?" We had our days!
