Week 8 starts off with a bang, a frightening bang for most. Why? Because someone is going home, and that someone CANNOT be me. I felt home would be too much of a distraction as I continued to meet my goals. You see, within the last 8 weeks, I have completely changed my way of life. I work out 6 to 8 hours per day, do 5K walks/jogs, lift weights, and even have a new found love for spinning. I eat lean meats, grilled chicken, fish, vegetables and fruit. I have gone without sugar, fried foods, and high calorie junk food for 8 weeks, a personal victory that has never been done in my past. Another first? There’s complete focus on Tanya! For the first time in my life, I am not caring for my mother, my siblings, my children, or anyone besides myself. I’ve worked non-stop from the age of 16, and now the ranch is my full-time job.
So, I was thrilled to see the wheel land on Jay from the white team. Jay received a beautiful welcome home from his family and friends, and he had yearned for that moment for weeks. Jay stayed focused and received one of the most grueling "farm house workouts" I’ve ever seen.
Jillian didn’t take it easy on him, and his results on the scale showed. Jay lost another 12 pounds since being off the ranch -- even with all his distractions! How amazing is that?! I’m looking forward to having that type of willpower when I’m home, but for now I get to continue another week on the “Biggest Loser” ranch.
Unfortunately the red team lost the weigh-in and Ruben was eliminated, and it’s now his turn to exercise his willpower off the ranch. Like with Jay, I’m confident in his ability to succeed.
