Mom Fools Son Into Thinking He Bought a $50,000 Car on eBay

Folks who think we've gotten too soft on our kids will applaud one mom's menacing move: When Paula Papen busted her 8-year-old son surfing eBay on her iPad, she told him he'd accidentally bought a $50,000 Ford Mustang. Of course, she filmed the prank (what's the use of torturing our kids if there's no video of it to go viral?), including the bit where the poor, sobbing kid calls himself horrible and wails about "having to sell everything." Papen let her son stew for more than a minute before admitting that the whole thing was a hoax. Relief immediately flooded over him (and by 'relief' we mean a huge glob of snot), much like the angry comments criticizing his "mean mom."
