When should you teach your kids how to use pepper spray? According to one Pennsylvania mom, second grade. When Delaina Garling returned to a family dollar store where she previously had been banned for shoplifting, employees tried to escort her out. Instead of leaving quietly with her two children, she pulled out her pepper spray. Philly.com reported that after being tackled to the ground she yelled, "You know what to do, baby. Spray it!" and tossed the can to her 7-year-old daughter while her son, also 7, looked on. The daughter proved to be wiser than her mom and didn't do as she was told. Garling subsequently was arrested.
