Pink Revelers' Ribbon Streamers:
You will need:
• 2 cups liquid starch
• 1 clean quart-size mason jar
• 12 lengths 1/4-inch-wide satin ribbon, each 72 inches (2 yards) long
• 2 wooden spoons, each with a 10-inch handle
• 12 rubber bands, each 1/16 inch thick

To make a streamer, pour the liquid starch into a quart jar. Working over the sink, dip a ribbon length into the starch, removing the excess starch by running the ribbon between your thumb and index finger.

To curl the ribbon, place its end against a wooden spoon handle and wrap the ribbon aroun dhte handle, using your free hand to turn the spoon. Continue wrapping it around the spoon so that the ribbon overlaps itself, back and forth, covering a 1- to 1 1/2 inch area. Use a rubber band to hold the wrapped ribbon in place. Repeat to wrap all 12 streamers. A 10-inch wooden spoon will hold 6 wrapped ribbons. For variety, use different ribbon lengths and colors. Let the ribbons dry completely before unwinding them, at least 8 hours or overnight. Wrap a chair with foil and drape it with streamers for a throne. Makes 12 streamers
