Blake Lively's Gossip Girl alter-ego Serena van der Woodsen has a dating resume that, by conservative estimations, must be comfortably in excess of 100 pages. But offscreen, Lively says she has far less romantic experience. In fact, she knows the exactly number of boyfriends she's had -- and can count them on one hand!
"I've had four boyfriends in my whole life," Lively, 24, admits in a new interview with Elle. "I've never been with anyone that's not a boyfriend. If I spend time with a man, it's because there's somebody that I know well who has been a friend for a while."
Now that Lively has tossed out that number, it's not hard to figure out exactly who those boyfriends -- past and present -- are.
Lively has been dating her Green Lantern costar, Ryan Reynolds, since late last year. Before that, she captured the attention of Leonardo DiCaprio for a summer of love. Before that, she had a long-term relationship with Gossip Girl costar Penn Badgley. And let's not forget Blake's first love, Simon Says costar Kelly Blatz. And there you have it: Lively's entire love life in one short paragraph.
Could boyfriend No. 4 be Blake's last? Let's not get ahead of ourselves. While Lively is still going strong with Reynolds, the actress does shoot down reports that the couple is shopping for an apartment together on Fifth Avenue in New York.
"Newspapers say a lot of stuff, don't they?" she quips. "Though I wish I could afford half the places that I hear I'm looking at. Sign me up!"
Lively also admits that she will definitely want some kids down the line when she's ready to settle down -- and even hopes to pass on some of her favorite accessories and outfits to her future daughters.
"I hope to have a few girls one day. If not girls, they better be trannies," Lively jokes. "Because I have some amazing shoes and bags and stories that need to be appreciated."
Well, the Gossip Girl star's fashion sense is already appreciated; she's made quite the name for herself as a red-carpet fashionista -- which is especially impressive considering she doesn't hire a stylist to dress her for events.
"When I'm going to an event, I'll send (shoe designer) Christian (Louboutin) a picture of my outfit and say, 'What shoes do you think I should wear with this?'" she says. If only we all could be so lucky!
