Feeling Grumpy? Blame Your Bra

New survey finds 64 percent of women are wearing the wrong size undergarments, and apparently, it's affecting their home and work life

Having a bad day? Your bra may be to blame.

A new survey from Triumph, an international lingerie company, finds 73 percent of women believe a poor-fitting brassiere can lead to a bad day. And here, we were busy blaming our boyfriends.

In a release, Triumph notes that uncomfortable bras can make for a bad day at work and even affect the success of a job interview. Further, 64 percent of respondents to the global survey were found to be wearing the wrong size bra, with 29 percent copping to being well aware of their fit issue.

So what’s the deal? The survey found 30 percent of women have never had a professional bra fitting — just 35 percent of American women reported receiving a fitting in the past six months.

Triumph's bra-fitting campaign, which followed the discoveries, is designed to teach women to get properly fitted. Because back fat bulges, errant underwires, shoulder-digging straps and other bad bra behavior certainly aren’t worth losing a job over.

When it comes to buying your next bra — just do yourself a favor and get a real fitting — or, in other words, stop being such a boob.
