12 Things to Cheer You Up on the Most Depressing Day of the Year

It's the most depressing day of the year, but why should that get in your way?

Mondays are always bad, but this one is scientifically the worst day of the year. Dubbed "Blue Monday," the first day back to a full work week after the holidays has been found by researchers to be the saddest day of the year for many people. The holidays are over, New Years resolutions have been broken, the weather outside is frightful (but not in a fun holiday kind of way) and spirits are generally pretty low.

We hate to see everyone in a funk though, so here's a quick list of things sure to get you to crack a smile.

For starters there's this Redditor who found a creative way to dispose of the Christmas tree:

And this cat that thinks she's a lizard:

And if that doesn't put a smile on your face, try watching these two babies giggling together:

It's impossible to be depressed when you watch this little kitten stuck in a soda case:

If you've never seen the fainting goats video, your day is about to be made:

Still feeling blue? Well, have you seen a corgi try to swim?

Or a somesaulting panda?

Or these news bloopers from 2013?

Watch this puppy trying to run and feel better about your own exercise routine:

Or use these corgis on a treadmill as motivation to get back at it:

Let Honey Boo Boo remind you that pretty comes in all sizes:

But most of all, remember that a Monday is only as depressing as you make it, so embrace the world and enjoy your day!
