When members share personal comments in any of our community spaces, this information becomes public. Be careful to keep your member name and identity private, especially if you post or chat about sensitive topics online, such as domestic abuse, emotional health etc.

Here are some precautions you can take to protect yourself online:

  • We suggest that you keep personal information private, such as your name, phone number, city and state.
  • Do not save your membername on iVillage. This means that you will have to re-enter your membername and password before posting to a message board or before entering a chat, but that your membername will not automatically appear on the iVillage homepage or other pages where you are "greeted by name."

    To "unsave" your membername from iVillage, go to the account profile page.
