Newlywed Bobby Brown hasn't gotten much of a chance to sit back and enjoy married life. The singer voluntarily checked into a confidential rehab center last week as part of an agreement following his driving-related arrests.
"Mr. Brown takes his agreement very seriously and admitted himself three weeks after concluding his honeymoon in Mexico during a break from the New Edition tour," Brown's attorney Christopher Brown said in a statement. "Bobby is doing well and receiving services that comply with his agreement with the State of California."
The 43-year-old singer was arrested in late March for driving under the influence (he failed a sobriety test after being pulled over for talking on his mobile phone while driving).
Brown has the full love and support of his wife and manager Alicia Etheredge, whom he married in Hawaii earlier this summer.
"Bobby's children and loved ones are very proud of him. We appreciate his fans' prayers and well wishes. Bobby is mentally in a good place," Etheredge-Brown said in a statement.
Brown's daughter with his late ex-wife Whitney Houston, 19-year-old Bobbi Kristina Brown, also expressed well wishes for her dad.
She posted on Twitter late Wednesday: "I love my father, very much and wish him well in all."
