Expert review: The Boon Flair Pedestal’s streamlined, modern design and minimal detailing makes the space age-y high chair stand out from others. But great function and a simple wipe-down process are what really makes it a winner. The seamless seat, removable pad and dishwasher-safe tray liners (two come standard, so you'll always have one on hand) make the Boon Flair the easiest cleanup of all high chairs we tested. It also includes a foot brake and pneumatic lift so you can adjust the height effortlessly like you would an office or salon chair. The Boon Flair’s bulky base hides six caster wheels that help the chair glide smoothly out of the way, but it can't be folded for storage.

Why we love it: Quick setup; ultra-modern look; smooth, easy-to-clean surfaces; foot brake; easy height adjustment; pneumatic lift; rotating wheels; an extra tray liner that comes standard.

What we wish it had: Seat recline; lower price; the ability to fold up; additional padding; more color choices; a larger tray.

Great for: Trendy parents who don’t want to sacrifice style for function.

Bottom line: The Boon Flair Pedestal high chair won’t suit everyone’s style taste in design or price range, but it’s perfect for parents who want a cool chair that works well, looks great and is incredibly simple to clean.

What our parent tester thought:
“It really provides a cocoon-like nest for my daughter to feel comfortable in while eating.”

“However, the trays are small and I do wonder whether dishes will fit once it's time for my kid to start using them.”

“The chair sways from time to time, and my kid is only 16 pounds. I do wonder if it will provide sufficient stability when she’s one year plus.”
