A fitness professional for over 18 years, Amy Bento has taught more than 6,000 group exercise classes. Her class resume includes all levels of step, double step, resistance training, hi/lo, kickboxing, slide, boot camp, Kettlebell, Bosu and Core Board. Amy is the star of three 10 Minute Solution workouts: Hot Body Bootcamp, Tone Trouble Zones and Sculpt, Tone and Re-Shape with the Figure Eight.
As a high school and college star athlete, Bento participated in volleyball, basketball and softball. Her fitness career began in New Jersey at a small Bally’s Gym, where she evolved into a multitalented instructor and became well-known as “the instructor’s instructor.”
During the course of her career, Bento has led many master classes, presented at fitness conventions, competed in fitness competitions, and volunteered her expertise at charitable fitness events such as March of Dimes, Hurricane Katrina Relief, Kids in Crisis and more. She is certified by NASM and AFPA, and is an AFPA Advanced Certified Personal Trainer, Certified Sports Nutritionist and Cramer Emergency Sports Medicine Trainer. Over the years, Bento has directed and coordinated group exercise programs in Fairfield County, CT. She currently instructs at The Edge in Norwalk, CT, and Equinox in Darien, CT, and is the owner of NRG Fitness, LLC.
