Boys Are More Likely to Be Diagnosed with Autism


Fact. The CDC reported last year that autism cases are four to five times more common among boys than girls. Researchers aren’t sure why. One of several theories: autism is at the extreme end of “male” behaviors, such as being good in fields such as engineering and science, which require single-minded attention to detail more than social skills.
