When you're constantly jetting all over the world like Brad Pitt, you sometimes forget what day it is -- even if it's a major holiday! In a new interview with People, Pitt, 48, admits that he was so busy shooting his zombie film World War Z that he forgot about Thanksgiving.
"When you're overseas, they don't celebrate it in England," says Pitt, who is currently filming in London.
Furthermore, his family wasn't around to remind him about Turkey Day. "[Angelina Jolie] and some of the kids are overseas in Cambodia this week, working on the [The Maddox Jolie-Pitt Foundation] there," he explains. "It completely escaped me until someone brought me some English pumpkin pie."
At least he had pie! Besides, Brad seems pretty confident that he'll be seated around a big table with the whole Jolie-Pitt clan next Thanksgiving. "That's okay, last year we had a big meal and we don't normally miss things twice," he tells the magazine.
Though Pitt spent the day working, he did manage to make a lot of people very thankful -- by handing over all the cash in his wallet ($1,100, to be exact) to a volunteer collecting money for the Southampton General Hospital's neonatal unit.
As for Angie and Brad's six children, they may have missed out on their Thanksgiving dinner, but they're already thinking ahead to Christmas. Earlier this month, Maddox, 11, Pax, 8, Zahara, 7, Shiloh, 6, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 4, were spotted dropping off letters to Santa at a rural English post office.
