Even Bradley Cooper can't deny the hotness that is Ryan Gosling! You'd think that the Hangover Part II star might be a little bitter, after his 2011 Sexiest Man Alive title was protested by thousands of impassioned Gosling fans. But in a recent appearance on the U.K.'s The Graham Norton Show, a good-natured Cooper said that he sympathizes with Team Gosling. Watch the clip below!
Cooper, who recently completed filming The Place Beyond the Pines with Gosling, told Graham Norton that his costar is "the greatest." He then joked that a simple comparison of paparazzi photos can settle the question of who's sexier.
"(Gosling and I) were both in Paris this last week, and a friend of mine showed me photographs from the paparazzi. And when I say 'friend,' I mean 'me alone looking at the computer,'" Cooper quipped to the studio audience.
"There are pictures of him walking around, and he literally looks like he's in a photo shoot, like he just came off the runway: the peacoat is like this, with the scarf," Cooper continued. "And then there's ones of me, and I literally look like the neighbor who never comes out of his house."
Why do we suddenly find ourselves humming "won't you be my neighbor"? While we'd gladly borrow a cup of sugar from Bradley Cooper, we also know have to agree with him about Ryan Gosling: Those photos of him strolling around the Pere-Lachaise cemetery with Eva Mendes look exactly like a page torn from a J. Crew catalog! Then again, we have to disagree with Cooper's assessment of his own paparazzi shots. He may not be rocking the neck scarf and romantic backdrop, but his tinted glasses and layered shirts are a perfectly good look for a perfectly good-looking man.
Cooper has been sweetly self-deprecating about his Sexiest Man Alive title ever since People made the announcement in November.
"I think it's really cool that a guy who doesn't look like a model can have this (title)," he told the magazine. "I think I'm a decent-looking guy. Sometimes I can look great, and other times I look horrifying."
Fortunately, he's charming 100 percent of the time -- and that goes a long way!
