What could possibly be a hotter date night than attending the Academy Awards? While some nominees showed off their significant others on the red carpet this year, there were a group of actors who chose to take slightly less conventional dates to the Oscars ceremony.
While George Clooney had Stacy Keibler on his arm and Ben Affleck looked totally in love next to wife Jennifer Garner, the too-cute plus-ones of the following nominees were the dates to catch our eye throughout the night.
Bradley Cooper and his mother
Bradley Cooper has made a habit of bringing mom Gloria as his date to most shows this awards season, and Oscars night was no different. He told Ryan Seacrest on the red carpet, "The one thing I do know is that it’s incredible to be here today with my mom and to be here for this movie that Robert DeNiro was in." Though he didn't go on to win best actor, Cooper definitely won us over for sweetest date. Our favorite part: Gloria wore sneakers to Hollywood's biggest night!
Jessica Chastain and her grandmother
Also going the family route was best actress nominee Jessica Chastain, who brought grandmother Marilyn as her date. "I am so proud. You just can't believe how big and tall I am right now," Marilyn told Seacrest. Chastain joked of her grandmother's Marina Rinaldi gown: "She's a starlet now."
Sally Field and Joseph Gordon-Levitt
Keeping it in the Lincoln family, best actress nominee Sally Field and her onscreen son, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, hit the red carpet together after carpooling to the awards show. "Sally did indeed know how to tie a bow tie! I thought she would," JGL tweeted prior to the show. For his first Oscars appearance, he managed to land a pretty hot date!
Kristen Stewart and her crutches
When it came time for Kristen Stewart to walk the carpet, she revealed she had brought two rather unexpected guests with her: crutches! Her makeup artist explained to People that Stewart "cut the ball of her foot, quite severely, on glass two days ago." That didn't stop her from posing on the red carpet, though, or presenting the award for best production design alongside Daniel Radcliffe.
Jamie Foxx and his daughter
Best actor nominee Jamie Foxx brought a familiar date with him to the Oscars on Sunday: his daughter, Corrine. While she also joined dad on the red carpet back in 2005, the now 19-year-old Corrine looked quite grown up. "Someone was asking me about being nervous about the Oscars. I said, 'I'm not nervous anymore. I'm just excited to show how beautiful my daughter has turned out,'" Foxx gushed on the red carpet.
