chime in nowIt's one of the most iconic images in sports history: soccer champion Brandi Chastain, tearing off her shirt and falling to her knees in triumph after scoring the winning goal at the 1999 Women's World Cup. As part of the U.S. National Team, the California-born athlete also celebrated two Olympic victories, at the 1996 Atlanta Games (where she played with a knee injury) and the 2004 Athens Games. Chastain played her final game in December 2004, retiring at age 36.
