Seems like LeAnn Rimes and Brandi Glanville can only remain civil for so long. The country singer and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star got into yet another Twitter fight this weekend, with both stars writing passive-aggressive tweets about Eddie Cibrian (Glanville's ex-husband, Rimes' current husband) and his two sons with Glanville (who are now Rimes' stepsons).
It all started innocently enough, when Rimes tweeted about her weekend plans. "Flying out with my boys in a few hrs. Love that it's a family tour weekend. It's always more fun when they are with me," the singer wrote on Friday.
Was that tweet as casual as it sounds? Or was Rimes secretly trying to get a rise out of Glanville? If it was the second thing, well, then it worked. "Someone is trying 2 get under my skin by calling MY children 'her boys' Sooo transparent!" Glanville responded. "They R MY boys, Eddie Boys and ur step-sons... 4 now."
To her credit, Rimes didn't take the bait -- or did she? The singer didn't respond directly to Glanville, but she did appear to double up on posts about how much she loves her family, and how great it is to be a stepmom. "Off to Seattle with the 3 cutest boys ever! It was a last minute family trip, the best kind!! #tour" she tweeted. And later: "You know I LOVE my stepson when I give up my middle bunk for him." The next day, she retweeted this sentiment from a follower: "Being a step mom is such a hard role to play....but only the strongest women can handle it!" And so on.
Rimes also posted a video of one of her stepsons riding his bike without a helmet, which seems to have set his mother off (and with good reason). "Im trying not to tweet about something I just saw.... Breathe," Glanville tweeted. Brandi also retweeted this thought: "Why is it ok for @leannrimes to whore out @BrandiGlanville 's kids on twitter, but they can't appear on #RHOBH ?? #hmm #hypocrite"
Last month, Glanville made fun of Rimes' trip to rehab on Watch What Happens Live, calling it "twee-hab" because Rimes blamed her breakdown on Twitter. Can these two please just block each other already?
