For a minute there, it looked like things were smoothing out between Brandi Glanville and LeAnn Rimes -- but in a new interview, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star reveals that she hasn't let go over her anger.
It's been three years since actor Eddie Cibrian left his marriage with Glanville to start a new life with Rimes, who is now the stepmother of Glanville's sons Mason, 8, and Jake, 5. The ladies have kept up a bitter rivalry ever since. Although things seemed to be turning around in March -- when the singer and reality star were photographed happily chatting at one of Cibrian's son's soccer games -- Glanville, 39, says that the situation wasn't as civil as it appeared.
"I remember walking up to soccer practice and there she was with my baby in her lap," Glanville tells Australia's NW HQ Magazine (via RadarOnline). "My blood was boiling, and I thought I was going to kill her. I really thought I was going to physically hurt her."
Explains Glanville: "That was the first time I saw her that way. She was sitting in my soccer chair, under my tent, she's got my kid on her lap and she's with my husband, and that was that little moment of total irrational fury."
Despite her lingering anger, Glanville says that she and Rimes, 29, are on decent terms right now.
"We're never going to be best friends, but she's good to my kids, they love her and that's all I could ask for," Glanville tells the magazine. "If they didn't like her, I'd be in court right now, fighting. It's not about me -- it's about them."
As for the spat over whether Glanville's sons should be filmed on Real Housewives, she appears to blame Cibrian, not Rimes.
"[It's] incredibly hypocritical [for] Eddie to object to filming around my children," she reasons, "especially given how public he lives his life."
In an interview from February, Glanville announced that she didn't have any faith in Rimes and Cibrian's marriage, saying that her ex would inevitably be unfaithful to LeAnn like he was to her. Her confidence hasn't increased in the recent months, and she says she's just thankful that her former hubby didn't sign a prenuptial agreement.
"Thank God! My kids' futures will be taken care of if that's true," says Brandi, who regrets not having her own prenuptial agreement.
"I got f***ed. And not in a good way," the reality star complains.
In related gossip, Celebuzz reports that LeAnn Rimes is considerably freaked out by Glanville's new interview, and may even be considering a restraining order.
"Brandi has told LeAnn to her face multiple times that she would kill her if she could," says the website's source. "LeAnn is scared of Brandi and believes she is unstable. LeAnn's own mother is concerned for her daughter's safety too and regularly calls her to tell her so."
Geez, can't we all just get along with the people whose husbands we stole?
