| 1/2 cup millet | Maple syrup, brown sugar, fresh fruit, or frozen fruit for serving | |
| 2 cups milk, almond milk, rice milk, or soy milk |
Rinse the millet in a fine-mesh strainer and set aside.
In a medium saucepan, bring the milk to a simmer, then stir in the millet. Cook gently for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the millet has absorbed most of the milk. It will be tender and fluffy, yet still retain a crunchy bite.
Serve with an additional splash of milk and sweeteners or fruit toppings if desired.
