This is a very common question -- some women have given up their cup of joe during pregnancy and can't wait to get back to it. A cup or two of coffee seems to pose no risk at all; more than this, and it'll really be you who's affected -- up at night and unable to sleep.

Keep track of all your caffeine sources, such as teas, soft drinks, pain relievers, stimulants and chocolate (which produces the same effect as caffeine). Excessive caffeine intake (more than five cups a day) may accumulate in your baby's system, resulting in overstimulation. This may cause wakefulness and irritability.
