When purchasing or renting a breast pump, it can be very helpful to seek out a retailer who is very knowledgeable about breastfeeding. They can assist you in selecting the pump that is right for your particular situation, and help you learn how to properly use it.

Medela and Ameda products are excellent, and both have places on their sites that will connect you to breast-pump rental and sales locations.

Your local La Leche League (LLL) leader may also know of someone in your area who rents and sells quality breast pumps. Call 1-800-LA-LECHE for the LLL group nearest you.

Many IBCLCs also handle rental and sales of breastpumps as part of their practice. To locate an IBCLC in your area, you can contact ilca@erols.com. They will send you the name(s) of several IBCLCs in your area.

Best wishes in finding someone nearby who can help you get the breastpump you need.
