Last time Bristol Palin was on Dancing with the Stars, she took some (unfair) heat for her weight gain. "She gained, like, 30 pounds a week. It was fantastic. She's like the white Precious," comedian Kathy Griffin joked after her 2010 stint on the show.
But now that Bristol has returned for DWTS: All-Stars, she's having the last laugh -- and showing off a svelte new body.
"I'm definitely in better shape than I was last time, definitely," Palin, 21, told Us Weekly. "I'm just more active and I cut all the crap out of my diet! It's that simple."
In addition to diet and exercise, Bristol (pictured left in 2011) credits her 3-year-old son Tripp for keeping her on her toes.
"My kid's a lot more rowdy, a lot more active. I'm running after him a lot! He's huge!" Palin exclaimed. "He thinks he's a teenager already."
And then, of course, there was all that extra motivation provided by her critics.
"If I ever hear anything bad that's being said about me or my family, it just gives me motivation to do better, and that's what I do," said Bristol. Spoken like a true Palin.
Not only does she have a brand-new body, but Bristol has the moves to back it up. On Monday's premiere, the controversial star (dancing with Mark Ballas) was declared "most improved" by judge Carrie Ann Inaba. Judge Bruno Tonioli agreed, saying that Bristol has "all the elements" to succeed. We'll just have to wait and see!
