Has Bristol Palin been letting fame get to her head -- er, face? Palin, 20, showed up at the Candie's Benefit Gala in New York City on Tuesday with a slimmer physique and a new, Kardashian-esque hairdo. But what's been catching everyone's attention is Palin's face, which looks notably more angular than the last time we saw her. With her slimmer jawline, higher cheekbones -- and possibly something a little different about her nose and eyes -- the New York Post deemed Palin "unrecognizable." Is the change due to weight loss -- or plastic surgery?
Palin isn't commenting, but that hasn't stopped the press from speculating. One plastic surgeon tells People that Palin "seems to have had liposuction of her entire neck with a focus under her chin, which has produced a much more defined jaw line." The same consultant told Radar Online that it looked like Bristol had a lower-lip injection and possibly a chin implant. Another doctor told the Post that he believed Palin may have had a nose job ("the tip of her nose is smaller and more feminine") and a chin implant.
Of course, these are just educated guesses, since neither doctor has treated the star. And Palin's friends say that cosmetic surgery is just not up the small-town girl's alley.
"She just isn't that kind of person," a source close to Palin tells E! Online. "I can tell you that she has lost a tremendous amount of weight since Dancing With the Stars and that is most likely the reason for the speculation."
So is Bristol's new look a result of weight loss and a makeover -- or is there something more going on?
