A $1,500 Weekly Allowance for Britney Spears
Britney Spears can now buy that lip gloss she's always wanted.
A judge ruled yesterday that Brit will be allowed a $1,500 weekly allowance, to use on a debit card for anything her little heart desires. The pop star is said to be worth an estimated $100 million, so $1,500 may seem like couch change, but at least Britney is being given some responsibility. It's a good sign.
In addition to the allowance, Brit was given the go-ahead to hire two specialist attorneys -- to help get her life in order while she is still being overseen by her dad. One lawyer is to be a consultant on all details the conservatorship, while the other will act as the pop star's an entertainment lawyer, helping out on entertainment deals and contracts -- like the one she just got to appear on How I Met Your Mother.
I know I sound like my parents, but remember when our weekly allowance was only $5 a week?
