Britney's Dad to Stay in Charge
If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
That's what the courts are saying about Britney Spears, since her dad Jamie has taken over conservatorship. A judge ruled yesterday that Brit's dad's role as co-conservator role was working and granted her brother, Brian, influence over the pop star's day-to-day spending.
Britney has definitely been better since her family stepped in. We haven't seen her driving aimlessly around town, stopping in gas stations every five minutes, who gallivanting from one hotel to another. And Sam Lufti hasn't been around for weeks -- which is an excellent sign. Instead, Britney is doing all low-key stuff, like shopping with her mom, and teaching kids to dance.
"She's getting proper medical care and has professional security. The chaos has been removed from the situation," a legal source told People.com.
Things are looking up with Jamie Spears at the wheel of the bus that was formerly headed to Disastertown. Let's hope they stay on the right side of the road.
