We knew that Britney Spears was rich -- but we didn't know she was this rich!
New documents from her conservatorship case reveal that the 30-year-old pop star had a $32.4 million fortune at the end of 2010. And that was well before she grabbed a $15 million payday for her X Factor judging gig and went on a concert tour that raked in $68 million.
So what does she spend all that money on? The documents detail the money she spent on her American Express Centurion in 2010. In addition to trips to the grocery store and paying off her mortgages and electric bills, Spears spent the most on her lawyers and personnel.
In 2010, Spears' fiduciary and attorney fees came to a grand total of $973,547.79. Her father, Jamie Spears, pocketed $192k of that under his Spears Management banner, while her lawyer Andrew Wallet and her attorney Sam Ingraham took home more than $200k.
After that, Spears spent $465k on her assistants and personnel. She also had to pay $303k to her ex-husband Kevin Federline for child support.
The rest of Spears' expenses are more exaggerated versions of what us civilians have to pay. She spent $59k on car expenses (but notably did not buy a new car that year), $179k on living expenses and $61k on wardrobe and "personal grooming." Of that number, $54k was spent on clothing. Ah celebrities -- so relatable!
At least Spears seems to be keeping her fortune well in check. TMZ reports that the $32.4 million number didn't even include some of Spears' "valuable assets," meaning her fortune at that point time was actually even higher than the reported amount.
And while that figure did include a variety of assets, Spears is certainly not cash-poor. At the end of 2010, she is said to have had more than $14 million of cash on hand. If you needed proof that she did X Factor for fun instead of for a payday, that should be it!
