Turning 29 while facing down a tabloid scandal that claims you were abused by your boyfriend, might get the best of some people. But not Britney Spears!
The singer put her battle with Star magazine and Radar Online aside to enjoy a romantic birthday getaway with beau Jason Trawick, 39, in Conchas Chinas, Mexico, last weekend.
Spears and Trawick stayed at a private, $5,000 per-night villa with Trawick, where Trawick surprised his birthday girl with a special red velvet cake. The pop star dished about the trip to US Weekly. "My birthday weekend away with Jason was amazing," she said. "Best birthday of my life!"
It seems the couple was able to ignore the scandal brewing back at home. As an insider put it to US, "They did not allow it to get them down."
