In new court documents just released, Jamie Spears recounts an interaction with his daughter that shows just how vulnerable the fallen pop star has become.
Jamie says that when he arrived at UCLA Medical Center on Sunday, where Britney Spears is being held, he leaned over to kiss his daughter, who was lying in bed, and she turned away from him.
"I love you," he told her. "No, you don't," Britney shot back. "The doctor told me you are keeping me in here. When Jamie tried to deny it, his daughter said, "Somebody's lying. You put me in here." A nurse then assured Britney that, "Your daddy is not keeping you here; the hospital is keeping you here."
That's when Britney looked at her dad and pleaded, "Come on, daddy, let's get out of here. Take my hand and let's walk out of here together," Jamie recounted. To which he replied, "I wish I could, but I can't."
How sad is that? I really believe that her parents love her and didn't realize how much she had deteriorated in the past few months. Hopefully this is as bad as it will get.
