Here's the thing -- as a mom, the thought that this story by Us Weekly is true absolutely breaks my heart.
Britney Spears is sick, we all get that, and she needs help, yes, but should she be kept from her children to the point where they've forgotten she exists? I say absolutely not. The mag is reporting that Sean Preston and Jayden James, who haven't seen their mom since Jan 3., "may have moved on."
Moved on? No way -- they need their mom.
"They have not been asking about Britney," a source close to Kevin Federline, who has full custody, says in the latest issue of Us. And, they say, nobody brings her up, either. "They don't want to get them riled up," the source says. "They just keep them focused on activities."
The insider also says that Kevin and Brit's parents won't even let Britney talk to the kids on the phone, but that the singer remains undeterred.
"She desperately wants the kids," a family source said. "She cries about it."
"She hasn't put the children's belongings away," another said. "Her home has pictures of her kids everywhere. She loves them very much."
Though the most recent court meeting didn't get anywhere in giving Britney a chance to see her boys, she does seem to be doing better under the guidance of her dad, and will hopefully get the chance to reconnect with the boys soon.
I know I'd be desperate to see my kid.
