A month before she turned 17, Britney Spears (pictured at an N.Y.C. studio in 1998) sassed her way to the top when she released her video for "...Baby One More Time," showing the world that this former New Mickey Mouse Club member was all grown up. The Kentwood, La., native may have looked sweet, but she wasn't shy about showing her edge -- and her midriff -- in her breakout video, which made the sexy-schoolgirl look iconic. "The outfits looked kind of dorky, so I was like, 'Let's tie up our shirts and be cute,'" she told People about helping craft her costume for the video.
