Britney Spears: My Sons Don't Know I'm Famous -- They Think I'm a Superhero

"[My boys] try to figure out where I go when I go to film X Factor," says the star, who admits that her boys don't comprehend her level of celebrity

Britney Spears has been having a difficult week because of the start of the defamation trial her former manager Sam Lutfi leveled against her and her parents, but now we finally have some positive news to share about the X Factor judge.

Spears covers the December issue of Lucky, and the magazine shows off the family-oriented side of Spears. During the interview, Spears opens up about what initially drew her to her fiance, Jason Trawick. Namely, she loves that he doesn't judge her.

"He was sweet," she says. "He says he doesn’t mind that I sit around in sweats all the time."

Spears also discusses her two sons: Sean, 7, and Jayden, 6. Despite her own troubled upbringing in show business, the 30-year-old pop star says she'd be willing to let them break out.

"If there was something they really wanted to do and were passionate about, I’d encourage them to follow their dreams," she says. "But I’d also be there behind the curtain saying, 'No, don’t go out there.'"

As for how they handle her own level of celebrity, Spears says, "They’re in the middle right now of trying to figure it out. They try to figure out where I go when I go to film X Factor. They’re like, 'Mommy’s going off to be a superhero.' and then I get back, and they just see me as Mommy. And then when I’m back working on the show, they say, 'Oh, Mommy’s a superhero again!'"

Spears has had quite a style evolution over the years, but she says that she continues to be inspired by the classics. Namely, she considers Jennifer Lopez and Sarah Jessica Parker to be her fashion icons. She also teases that her current fashion obsession is "big, stupid earrings, like with loops and feathers." That's the perfect accessory for Halloween!
