You won't catch Britney Spears drinking on the job. While touring the country for The X Factor auditions, the pop star reportedly asked that alcohol be removed from every one of her hotel rooms.
"Very important: We require you to empty the minibars of all alcohol," reads a Spears hotel rider obtained by Us Weekly. "And no gifts of wine or any other alcoholic beverages, please."
The talent show judge, who went through rehab in 2007, has shown a serious commitment to sobriety in recent years. Spears also banned alcohol and drugs from her 2011 Femme Fatale tour, and reportedly fired three dancers for using drugs on her Circus tour in 2009. Even though her X Factor gig is presumably less demanding than a world tour, Spears isn't taking it lightly -- as producer Simon Cowell told the press earlier this week.
"She has taken this very seriously and she's surprisingly quite mean," Cowell said of Spears. "In the past we've had judges that never say no,[but] she can't say no quick enough on this show. She's quite difficult to please."
Spears' fellow judge Demi Lovato told iVillage that Britney is indeed a demanding judge -- but that Cowell was exaggerating about how mean he can get.
"He’s totally joking!" Lovato told us exclusively. "With this show, there’s not really the mean one, the nice one, the funny one -- we don’t have the typical panel of judges. I think we’re all really honest and sometimes it can come off as mean... There’s definitely been times when me and Britney have said no to people when Simon and L.A. [Reid] say yes. We just have a different view on pop stars and celebrities because we’re in the pop industry ourselves."
