A small group of family and friends gathered on Christmas Eve to say their final goodbyes to actress Brittany Murphy.
The actress' mother, Sharon, her husband, Simon Monjack, and actor Eric Balfour came together at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles to give Brittany a fond farewell.
At the service, Monjack called his wife his "soul mate," saying that "mystery is the nature of love and you never know when or where it will strike or how quickly it will be taken from you," according to a statement released to the press.
"Amazing Grace" was sung at Murphy's graveside, and the service concluded with a reading from one of her favorite books, The Little Prince.
Murphy was 32 when she suffered from cardiac arrest on Dec. 20.
