Brody Jenner may be best known for his stint on MTV's The Hills (and for dating both of its feuding stars, Lauren Conrad and Kristin Cavallari). But he's also an extended member of reality TV's royal family, the Kardashians, and this summer, he and his brother Brandon will join the cast of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Season 8.
How is he related? Here's a quick recap: Patriarch Bruce Jenner fathered Brody and Brandon with his second wife, Lisa Thompson. Then he married his third wife Kris, who brought her children Khloe, Kim, Kourtney and Rob (from her marriage to Robert Kardashian) into the family. Bruce and Kris procreated twice more, adding Kylie and Kendall Jenner to the fold. So many beautiful siblings to capture on film and turn their millions of dollars into…kajillions of dollars!
"I’m always excited for each new season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, but I’m especially excited for this upcoming season because you’re going to be seeing a lot more of the Kardashian/Jenner clan!" gushed Khloe on her blog. "My stepbrothers, Brody and Brandon, and Brandon’s wife Leah are going to be on the show much more, which means an even closer look into the inner-workings of my crazy, wonderful family! Get ready people!"
At 29, Brody has already been on three reality shows: Fox's The Princes of Malibu in 2005, The Hills, and its spinoff, Bromance, in 2009. Merely by birth, he's secured his place on Keeping Up With the Kardashians. And if he wanted to, he could probably land a role on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills -- although his connection there is a lot more tenuous: Yolanda Foster's husband, David Foster, is his ex-step dad.
Fact is, there's always life after a reality TV show…and it's usually on another reality TV show. Brody is a prime example of the maxim, and another well-placed Hollywood son, Sean Stewart, could learn from Brody's experience. Sure, Rod Stewart's son may not have been one of The Princes of Malibu. But in 2007, he was one of A&E's Sons of Hollywood (same difference, right?), and he followed it up with a (decidedly less glamorous) 2008 stint on Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew.
Unlike Brody, Sean, 32, doesn't have a reality TV family to join (thanks for nothing, Rod!), but along with his reality show experience, he is also dating 51-year-old RHOBH star Adrienne Maloof. Too bad she was just sacked, or he could have joined her show. But the pair could certainly anchor their own reality series! Just picture it: The May-December romance, the gobs of money, and the self-generated drama they've both learned so well from their past shows!
Bravo, give us a call. We'd be happy to flesh this out for you.
