There's good news for Charlie Sheen's wife, Brooke Mueller, who has been hospitalized for the last week due to pneumonia and an infection in her blood. Doctors have given Mueller, the mom of 10-month-old twins with Sheen, permission to go home.
"I picked her up [Monday night] and brought her to a friend's house in Los Angeles where we will stay until we decide what we are going to do and where we will go," her mother, Moira Fiore, told People.
A source says that Mueller, 32, will head to a spa, where she will work on stress reduction and receive psychological counseling.
"The doctors in ICU told Brooke that if she wants to get better she has to reduce stress and get a lot of R&R in the coming weeks," an insider said about Mueller. "Her mom thinks she needs some time away from Charlie and Los Angeles to get her head together."
The couple's two sons will likely stay with their father while Mueller is getting the rest she needs. The Two And a Half Men star was allowed to visit his wife's bedside throughout her hospital stay, but now that she's been released, the protective order issued against the actor after his Christmas day arrest goes back into effect.
A hearing is set for Feb. 8 in Aspen, Colo, to modify the order.
