Bug Safari

From: Kiwi Crate

Why We Love It: The garden and backyard are a hotbed of insect activity this time of year, and these-crafty cool binoculars give your kid an up-close glimpse of all the action. When he discovers a new bug, have him snap a picture of it or sketch one in a notebook to look up and read about at home.

What You'll Need: Two empty toilet paper rolls, a few sheets of construction paper, markers, tape and camera, or pencil and notebook (optional).

How to Do It: Tape the ends of two toilet paper rolls together, and then have your kid decorate with markers or construction paper.

Great for Kids: Preschool and up
