Sometimes a child just has to move and release some energy, so direct it to one location to get it all out safely. The Jumping Bean is a great way to teach kids to channel their energy as a way to regulate feelings of stress or anxiety. How to do it: Pick a spot, ideally marked by a tile on the floor, and have your kid jump up and down in the same place counting to 60. Then have him or “push the house down” by pressing against the nearest wall with all they've got. Cool down with big breaths. This is also a great way to get your child moving on a sedentary day.
