Camille Grammer insists that she's been villainized on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills -- but she's definitely not playing nice when it comes to estranged husband Kelsey Grammer. Camille, 42, talked to Howard Stern on Wednesday about her 14-year marriage to the Frasier star. Over the course of the interview, Camille accused the actor of being an absentee dad and a control freak -- and even insinuated that he was a cross-dresser and possibly gay.
Camille told Stern that she and Kelsey "struggled to have an intimate relationship," because "he wasn't into sex that much." When Stern pressed her for details, Camille let him speculate that her ex was a cross-dresser -- but said she wouldn't say it herself for fear of a lawsuit. She did, however, say that the Broadway musical in which Kelsey stars -- which is about drag performers -- was a good match.
"When he got La Cage aux Folles, I thought, 'Perfect,'" said Camille. "I knew I was going to lose him. I think he's straight, but there are times I didn't think so during our marriage."
Camille said that she was afraid during her marriage of losing Kelsey to another man, and that she had to tell him to "be a man" with her. But she insisted that she still thinks he's straight. Huh?
Camille also shared with Stern a "list of rules" that Kelsey set out at the start of their relationship, which allegedly forbade her from going to the beach, going out with her friends, or owning a vibrator. And just to make sure that she didn't leave him any redeeming qualities, Camille said that Kelsey only communicates with her by text message, and is "raising his kids through Skype."
We don't doubt that the Grammers had a rocky marriage, and that Kelsey was at least partially to blame. But Camille has two young children with him, and she owes them a little more discretion about their marriage. Given that Camille is getting $50 million in the divorce settlement, a little dignity for Kelsey seems like a fair trade. Nobody should be dishing on their ex's bedroom habits on national radio. With a close friend and a bottle of wine? That would be a different story.
"While it is not clear why Camille Grammer continues making public statements about her marriage to Kelsey, it is crystal clear that Kelsey will continue not responding, regardless of content," Kelsey Grammer's rep Stan Rosenfield told RadarOnline.
In less shocking Housewives news, cast member Kyle Richards has declared that she and Camille are "not meant to be friends." We could have told her that weeks ago! Watch the interview below.
