The latest weapon in the fight against childhood obesity? Beyoncé. As part of First Lady Michelle Obama’s "Let’s Move" campaign, the 16-time Grammy Award-winner shot a remake of her single “Get Me Bodied” and made it into a kids' dance exercise routine called “Move Your Body.”
The video, set in a school cafeteria, features the pop diva leading dozens of very psyched elementary school kids in dance moves that are part hip-hop, part gym class. Kids across the country will get to give the "flash workout" a test drive at a nationwide middle school dance-in on Tuesday, which will kick off in the early afternoon.
“It’s all about promoting the benefits of healthy eating and exercise,” Beyoncé says in the video’s intro. “What we want to do is make it fun, by doing something that we all love to do, which is dance!”
