Enjoying sex can affect your temperature if you don't get at least three hours of consecutive sleep after you stop making love. In other words, to record an accurate waking temperature, you need to take it at about the same time every morning, after having slept for at least three hours. Remember, when you are trying to get pregnant, you don't want to become a slave to your thermometer. If you miss a temperature now and then, it's no big deal, as long as you are able to see a pattern. Of course, when trying to avoid pregnancy, it is more critical to try not to miss too many temperatures until three days after the thermal shift, when you can establish the fact that you are completely safe again. In either case, it's important to get an accurate reading right around ovulation, when you don't want to miss the thermal shift.

As far as being concerned about having sex in the middle of the night, do you know how many women would kill for the opportunity to experience that kind of romance again?
