Rachael Ray is denying rumors that her health is in jeopardy.
The National Enquirer had reported that Rach had a throat cancer scare, which required surgery that would prevent her from speaking for about two months and would disrupt her heavy work schedule. But the talk show host's people say that, though she does need to have a medical procedure, thankfully it has nothing to do with cancer.
"Rachael is the picture of health. She is having very minor surgery to remove a benign cyst on her vocal cord," Charlie Dougiello said. "It's a common in-and-out procedure that she will have in early December and it will not adversely effect any of her daytime show or Food Network tapings."
A source close to Rach says that the cyst isn't really even bothering the cook. "She's totally fine. It's just something she needs to take care of. She hasn't been feeling ill," the insider said.
Good news.
