Fruits and nuts are healthy foods and nutrient-dense, but when added to candy, they just pack on unneeded calories and fat. Chocolate-covered peanuts and raisins sound healthier than plain chocolate, but they’re not. Looking for that taste combination? Try dipping a fresh strawberry in some melted chocolate, or mix a small handful of dry roasted almonds with a tablespoon of chocolate chips.
