Car seat safety: Car seat installation made easier with LATCH

1 The national telephone survey, conducted by Public Opinion Strategies of Alexandria, Va., was of 500 adult drivers who transport children eight years of age or younger at least twice a week. The survey was conducted July 30-August 1, 2002. The sample was drawn proportional to the number of adults in each state, with a margin of error of +/- 4.38%.

2 Belt-positioning booster seats, car beds and vests used to restrain special-needs children are not required to be LATCH-equipped.
