Carrie Underwood sang about betrayal in her hit song "Before He Cheats" -- but in real life, she's quite certain of her husband's loyalty.
"He's the only guy I've never had to worry about," she says of her handsome husband.
"Any guy I've ever dated, there would always be that doubt: 'He didn't answer his phone. What's he doing? It's late.' I'm not the crazy-girlfriend type, but there was a little voice in the back of my head," Underwood says. "I don't have to worry about Mike. I don't think twice. He's going out? I don't care; it doesn't bother me. I don’t bat an eye."
The 29-year-old singer adds that the fact that Fisher is a professional athlete with fans of his own helped because "he knew what to expect."
"In Canada he was a big celebrity, so he knows what it's like living under a microscope. And he travels a lot, which is good for both of us," she says. "We're both independent people, so we can't have somebody around 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The drawback is that we can go weeks without seeing each other."
And though they're clearly among the world's rich and famous, Underwood insists that they remain true to their humble, hard-working upbringings.
"I think it would be very hard to write about my Louboutins. Do you know what I mean? My giant house, it's not relatable. But my husband came from a small town and hardworking parents like I did, and I don't think we've lost the mind-set," she says. "We don't have a bowling alley in our basement. We don't have houses on the beach and one in New York and one in L.A. I drive a three-year-old Ford Escape Hybrid. We don't care about stuff like that."
